A 20ª edição do Cine PE chegou ao fim, na noite deste domingo (8), e consagrou o pernambucano “Danado de Bom”, primeiro longa da diretora Deby Brennand, com quatro troféus Calunga: Melhor Filme, Fotografia, Montagem e Edição de Som. O documentário acompanha o Mestre João Silva (1935-2003), grande compositor e parceiro de Luiz Gonzaga, em uma viagem pelo sertão até sua cidade natal, Arcoverde, em Pernambuco.

O cineasta carioca Luiz Rosemberg Filho, que no festival apresentou o longa “Guerra do Paraguay”, recebeu a Calunga de Prêmio Especial do Júri pelo conjunto de sua obra e contribuição ao cinema nacional. A ficção “Redemunho”, de Marcélia Cartaxo, da Paraíba, ganhou o prêmio de melhor curta nacional. Na competição de curtas pernambucanos, o vencedor foi “Maria”, de Carol Correia.

O júri oficial do Cine PE foi formado por João Batista de Andrade (diretor e produtor – SP), Guilherme Fiuza (diretor e produtor – MG), Angelisa Stein (produtora – RS), Odilon Wagner (ator – SP) e Ingra Liberato (atriz – BA).

PRÊMIO DA CRÍTICA – Composto pelos críticos JoãoNunes, André Dib, Andreia Castro, Marcos Santuário, Renato Hermsdorff e pelo professor de cinema da UFPE Claudio Bezerra, o júri da Abraccine (Associação Brasileira de Críticos de Cinema) concedeu a Calunga de melhor longa para “Guerra do Paraguay”, de Luiz Rosemberg Filho, e de melhor curta nacional para “Pedro Bruscky”, de Walter Carvalho.

PRÊMIO CANAL BRASIL – Com júri formado pelos jornalistas Maria do Rosário Caetano, Luiz Zanin Oricchio, Fabiano Ristow, Edu Fernandes, Ismaelino Pinto, Orlando Margarido e Julio Cavani, o Prêmio Canal Brasil elegeu como melhor curta “Redemunho”, de Marcélia Cartaxo. Com o objetivo estimular a nova geração de cineastas, o Canal Brasil oferece, nos principais festivais de cinema do país, um troféu e R$ 15 mil para o melhor filme de curta-metragem, que também é exibido em sua grade de programação.
