Rumo à 22ª edição, o Cine PE – Festival do Audiovisual mantém o lugar de destaque no cenário audiovisual brasileiro e internacional. Previsto para acontecer de 29 de maio a 4 de junho, o festival recebeu 503 inscrições de curtas e longas-metragens para as mostras competitivas. O número supera as inscrições de 2017, que recebeu 473 candidatos.
Do número total de inscritos, 419 produções são de curtas-metragens, sendo 111 documentários, 287 obras de ficção e 21 de animação. Os longas-metragens correspondem a 84 filmes, sendo 48 documentários, 25 de ficção e um representante de animação.
A região com mais candidatos foi a Sudeste, com 285 inscritos, seguida por Nordeste, com 102; Centro-Oeste, 55; Sul, 49; e Norte, com 12 produções. Os números da edição de 2018 incluem 135 filmes de São Paulo, 120 do Rio de Janeiro, 39 de Pernambuco e 35 de Goiás.
Desse mar de películas inscritas, sairão 8 curtas selecionados para a Mostra de Curta Metragem Pernambuco, 16 para a Mostra de Curta Metragem Nacional e 6 longas para a Mostra de Longa Metragem.
Para Sandra Bertini, diretora do Festival do Audiovisual, o aumento no número inscrições para a edição 2018 representa o crescente a produção de filmes no Brasil. “Ao longo dessas mais de duas décadas de atuação, nos consolidamos no calendário nacional como uma das principais vitrines para a produção de filmes independentes no Brasil. Para nós que fazemos o CINE PE é de uma felicidade imensa acompanhar o crescimento da safra de filmes ano a ano, não só em quantidade, mas em qualidade. O nosso objetivo é montar sempre uma grade com o melhor do que está sendo produzido no país”, comemora a diretora e fundadora do CINE PE.
O Cine PE 2018 acontecerá de 29 de maio a 4 de junho, no Cinema São Luiz, Centro do Recife, e além das mostras competitivas contará com lançamentos, exibição de filmes hors concours, debates, workshops e homenagens.
